HOME   ON   OUR   FARM

Our emu farm consists of 40 acres and is located in Springfield, Tennessee in Robertson County, just north of Nashville. Our farm is home for three families. My wife Lois and I have one home, Lois' s mother and sister live in another and in the third home resides our youngest daughter, Cindy, her husband Tony and their two children Casey and Matthew.

The following picture is of Lois and myself along with two of our five grandchildren, Casey and Matthew at the front of our emu farm.

At our farm, we sell emu oil, emu oil products and emu meat

We primarily do emu farming on our farm, but we also have a variety of chickens, guineas, ducks and goats. We also have four dogs on our farm, a Great Pyrenees, a Dachshund and two of the Heinz 57 variety. The emus are kept in spacious pens and are treated with the greatest of care. We currently have 80 emu breeders. Most of our breeder birds were hatched from eggs laid on our farm, have been microchiped and their genetics are listed in our computer database for tracking purposes. Other breeder birds on our farm are outstanding egg layers with known, good genetics that were acquired several years ago, from emu farms leaving the industry. We have culled our breeding stock for years, retaining only those breeders that consistently produce large emu eggs and healthy chicks. This year, we anticipate that we will gather 1,200 or more emu eggs during the egg laying season. The emu hen lays eggs on our farm from early November until early April.

Lois and I elected to raise emu because of their beneficial offerings to all of mankind. We have remained in the emu farming industry through its toughest years because of our sincere belief in the emu oil and emu oil products from the emu. We personally use our products for our own health needs and enjoy wonderful health and a pain reduced lifestyle because of these emu oil products. We eat the emu meat most every day of our life and we take the emu oil gel-caps at breakfast every morning. We eat the emu meat because of its low-fat and heart-healthy nutritional profile and its delicious taste. We take the emu oil gel-caps to relieve our joint pains and because the emu oil gel-caps tend to give us a healthier cardiovascular and immune system. From athletics, the U.S. Marine Corps, long distance backpacking/hiking, competition water-skiing to highly competitive volleyball leagues, we are in our mid-60's and have had an extremely active lifestyle. If not for the emu oil and emu meat products, we would now be paying the price for this active lifestyle and would most likely be limited to the couch or easy chair in front of the television. The emu has allowed both of us to continue this busy and active lifestyle, almost pain-free. We want everyone to learn about the wonderful emu and how the products from the emu can help them just as they are helping us.

We are firm believers that a person must take more responsibility for their own health and must live everyday as fully as they can, eat healthy foods and use natural products for their ailments whenever possible.
